So this week I am bringing you a book I just finished. Now I had downloaded in via Kindle, which the only Kindly I have is the app on my smartphone. I had yet to read any book I had gotten via Kindle because I don't care for reading on the small screen and I hate being tethered to the laptop to read. But I have wanted to read this book for a long while and finally broke down and opened it up on my phone...boy am I glad I did.
The book I am talking about is Trinity by Deena Remiel. Here is a bit of a blurb about it.
One way or another, terror will reign tonight...
School teacher and single mom, Emma Livingston, has been through hell—and back so she thinks. While dealing with the night terrors and active imagination of her five-year old daughter, Hannah, she attempts to lead a normal life. That is, until the demon from those nightmares pays her a visit, too, and threatens both of their lives. Desperate, she reaches out for help—and finds Michael waiting.
Michael D’Angelo is known to everyone in Prophet’s Point, Arizona, as their loving elementary school principal. But to The Brethren, he is the most powerful Protector. Immortal and angelic does not mean he’s without doubts or fears, as protecting Emma and Hannah from Evil tests his ability to fight his tortured past.
As the Trinity is formed, ancient secrets are revealed and faith is tested. When a prophecy is exposed, Hannah becomes the main target and Emma wonders if a normal life will ever be possible again. Hope is like an anchor, but can a mother, her daughter, and an angel overcome the evil determined to annihilate the world?
I started reading about the angels in Brethren Beginnings, a
prequel to the Brethren series. I loved it, reviewed it and waited patiently
for the next books to come out. Then life got in the way and before I knew it
not only had Trinity been released, but so had Relic. Damn, I had gotten
behind, so while waiting for the funds to build back up so I could by books
again, I joined the Brethren Fun and Games group on Facebook (thanks Deena) if
you want to come have some fun just let her know, I am sure she would be happy
to add you. Not sure? Well let’s see we
play umm strip twister, What’s in the Angel’s pants, and have tons of fun. Wine
and snacks usually show up and the Angels usually lose pieces of clothing
before the nights over. Every gal has her
favorite angel, and the boys know it and love it.
But back to Trinity, this is Michael’s story. Now I admit, I
have a fondness for Michael so I started out with high expectations for this
book. I am glad to report I wasn’t disappointed. I love how Deena has developed
her Angels, The Healers, The Warriors, and The Protectors. We all need each one
at some point in our lives right? Why not have them be sexy and strong and able
to envelope us with amazing wings? Lol, ok back to the book. The story that unfolds is one of a strong
willed single mother determined to protect her daughter no matter what the
cost. Emma has been hurt in the past, not had the best upbringing and has major
trust issues. Michael has longed for her since the day he met her and when
circumstances change to bring them together he can’t think of anything else but
her and her daughter. The need to protect and shelter them is stronger than he’s
ever felt.
Once you pick up this book you won’t want to put it down. You
are taken on the roller coaster ride as Michael and Emma discover themselves,
their love and connection all while in the middle of a war between Good and
Evil that Emma’s daughter is destined to play a critical part in. You want more, well you will have to buy the
book yourself. Best part, well it’s available not only in ebook format, but
paperback as well!!!
I give this one 5 Dragonflies out of 5
